By bringing together expertise from aerospace and Formula One engineering, industrial and fashion design, science, and high-performance sport, we create solutions that are technically advanced, fundamentally simple, and intuitive in use.
The 4Waves® modular foil board concept is the first expression of this approach — a platform designed not as a single product, but as a foundation for continuous evolution. A system that can adapt, scale, and open new possibilities across watersports and related fields.

Oliver Zuegel
Oliver brings over 25 years of international experience in brand leadership, start-up development, and innovation-driven transformation.
As a founder, managing director, and advisor, he contributes deep expertise in strategic positioning, transformation processes, and user-centered innovation.
As the initiator and founder of the 4Waves® Project, he serves as CEO and is responsible for the overall business and product strategy.
His lifelong passion for water sports — from sailing and windsurfing to wing foiling — forms the personal foundation of the 4Waves® vision and its deep connection to water as a natural environment and essential element of life.
Gabriele Colaoni
Gabriele is a materials and aerospace engineer with over 20 years of experience in high-performance environments, including Formula One and aerospace, where precision, reliability, and manufacturability are essential.
As Co-founding Partner and Chief Technology Officer of the 4Waves® Project, he defines the technological foundation and oversees system architecture, materials, and engineering standards.
Through his work as founder of Colaoni-VEGA, he brings deep expertise in advanced materials, structures, and manufacturing — ensuring performance-driven, industrially robust solutions. He is also the author of Composite Materials for Technical Education, reflecting his hands-on expertise and decision-driven approach to engineering.
Markus Moser
Markus combines a strong business mindset with long-standing, hands-on experience in water sports.
As a passionate sailor, he brings deep practical understanding of user needs, conditions, and real-life application. His structured approach to processes, economics, and interdependencies makes him a key pillar of the founding team.
Together with Oliver and Gabriele, he helps align strategy, technology, and user perspective into a coherent and scalable concept.
Andrea Hoeppner
Andrea is a multiple Windsurfing World Champion and founder of Hoeppner Sport- Markenkommunikation.
She brings a unique dual perspective to the 4Waves® Project: elite-level water sports expertise combined with strategic communication and consulting know-how.
Her experience as a professional athlete shaped her understanding of fair play, resilience, and self-driven organization — skills she later translated into her advisory work.
At 4Waves®, she contributes a forward-looking perspective on water sports culture, athlete needs, and authentic communication.
SPD
Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD) is an international design school based in Milan, founded in 1954. Italy’s first institution dedicated to design, SPD has over 70 years of experience educating professionals who combine aesthetic excellence, innovation, and social responsibility. The school offers interdisciplinary, lab-based programs in close collaboration with companies and institutions, fostering practical skills, critical thinking, and cultural awareness. Part of the Plena group, SPD is deeply rooted in Milan’s design culture while engaging in a global design dialogue. We are honored to name SPD our dedicated design and innovation partner.
